Stone Belt's Supported Living program offers individuals a variety of options for maintaining a living arrangement of choice. The living arrangement may include having one's own apartment or sharing a home or apartment with roommates. It can also mean living with one's family and receiving respite services.

The services that are provided are based on individual needs and include a range of community living assistance from visit from staff for only a few hours per week to 24-hour live-in or shifted staff. The program serves children and adults of all ages and can work well for high functioning and low functioning individuals alike.

Stone Belt serves approximately 70 individuals with developmental disabilities through this program and the numbers are growing daily as clients and families are selecting this more independent lifestyle.

While group homes can provide a sense of family and close relationships with a large number of roommates and staff, some individuals really thrive in the smaller living arrangements provided by Supported Living. Supported Living also allows the individual to choose his or her roommate and get a really good match.
