Meet the dedicated individuals who head up Stone Belt's many departments, regions and programs.
Leslie Green, Chief Executive Officer
Leslie Green started with Stone Belt in 1979 as a Recreation Specialist. In 2000 she became the agency’s third CEO. In her leadership role, Leslie oversees all aspects of Stone Belt’s daily operations. She also stays active in the community and currently serves as the President of the Indiana Council of Executives of The Arc, which gives her the opportunity to be involved in State policy issues related to services to persons with disabilities. | Email Leslie | Interview with Leslie Green
Ward Brown, Chief Financial Officer
Ward is responsible for all aspects of Stone Belt’s finances, including fiscal management and strategic development. He is also responsible for coordinating Stone Belt’s technology efforts with program objectives. Ward has served as Chief Financial officer since 2006. Prior to becoming CFO, Ward served in a number of positions in the agency, starting as a substitute at Elliot Group Home in 1995. | Email Ward
Brad Galin, Senior Director of Human Resources and Corporate Compliance
As Director of Human Resources, Brad Galin oversees all human resource functions of the agency and also supervises the operations and facility management functions for all agency-owned and leased buildings. Brad Galin joined Stone Belt in 2003. Although based out of an office at 10th Street, Brad and the rest of the Human Resources team are often in other locations and strive to be available to answer any questions that you may have. | Email Brad
Maureen Gahan, Milestones Clinical & Health Resources Director
Maureen Gahan is the Director of our Milestones division. She has worked for Stone Belt for 24 years, starting in the residential program. Maureen is responsible for the management and provision of the agency’s nursing, social work and behavior support services. In addition, Maureen developed and provides oversight to Stone Belt’s mental health services. Milestones operates outpatient mental health clinics in Bloomington and Columbus. | Email Maureen
Amy Jackson, Community Engagement Director
Amy is responsible for all aspects of Stone Belt’s fund raising program, including donor relations, grant writing, corporate sponsorship, and special events. She is also responsible for sharing Stone Belt’s story with the community by overseeing marketing and public relations efforts. Amy has served as the Development Director since 2006. Prior to joining Stone Belt, Amy served in professional positions in various non-profits. | Email Amy
Bitta DeWees, Community Employment Director
Bitta oversees Stone Belt’s Community Employment Program. She assists clients in choosing, obtaining and retaining employment in integrated settings. Bitta joined Stone Belt in 1990 as an Employment Consultant. She has served on many state and local committees pertaining to the employment of individuals with disabilities and remains active on the State and local levels. | Email Bitta
Tonya Vandivier, Residential Director
Tonya is responsible for the Central Region residential services, including supervised group living and supported living. Tonya has served in this role since 2005. Tonya has been with Stone Belt since 1991, she held several positions in the residential program prior to her current position. | Email Tonya
Ilese Sabelhaus, East Region Director
Ilese is the Director of Stone Belt’s East Region, which includes Seymour and Columbus. She has responsibilities for Supported Living, Lifelong Learning and Community Employment. Ilese joined Stone Belt as a Teams Coordinator in 2006; she has also served as East Region Associate Direct and as the Quality Measurement Specialist. Prior to joining Stone Belt, Ilese gained much experience in the field as a State Surveyor. | Email Ilese
Susan Russ, South & East Regions Director
Susan is the Director of Lifelong Learning and the South Region, which includes Bedford. She is responsible for developing and implementing Stone Belt’s educational curriculum agency-wide; she also specifically overees the day-to-day Bedford educational programs, group homes and supported living sites. Susan began her career with Stone Belt as an Employment Consultant in 1994. | Email Susan
Susan Hoard, Information Technology Director
Susan is responsible for directing, planning and managing all aspects
of Stone Belt’s Information Technology and its systems, including data, network infrastructure, connectivity, telephony, printers and peripherals, and software. She is also responsible for directing client records management. Susan joined Stone Belt in 2003, and served as a Programmer and Software Manager before assuming her current position in 2008. | Email Susan
Karen Freeman, Manufacturing Director
Karen Freeman is Stone Belt’s Manufacturing Director. She is responsible for coordinating manufacturing jobs and running day to day operations at Stone Belt’s 10th Street and Bedford facilities. Karen has been instrumental in expanding Stone Belt’s Life Sciences manufacturing initiative. Karen joined Stone Belt in 2003 and was previously Director of Stone Belt’s former activities in Owen County. | Email Karen
