Stone Belt was started in 1958 in Bloomington, Indiana by parents of children with developmental disabilities who were convinced that there should be more available for their children than institutional life.

Much has changed since Stone Belt opened more than 50 years ago. We now support over 2500 individuals and have myriad locations throughout south central Indiana.
