The goal for individuals in this program is to gain meaningful employment in a community setting, increased opportunities for developing relationships with others, increased opportunities for informed decision-making, increased competencies in performing required job skills - and the opportunity for financial independence.

Every individual who wishes to work in the community is given the opportunity. Employment Services assists individuals by matching their skills and interests with those of employers.

Program participants work with an Employment Consultant to assess skills, abilities and interests. The Employment Consultant then works with local employers to match their needs with the client's skills and interests. Once a potential match is found, the Employment Consultant provides assistance in completing an application, developing a resume, and interviewing skills.

Once a job is found, on-going support and training is provided based on the individual's needs ranging from monthly contact to continuous assistance. Others who are very independent and can do their job well with little support are closed out of the program as successfully employed.
